Speed Pairs and Virtual Bonspiels

Graham Sloan reports that the Ice Bowl, Dumfries, held a successful first ever Open Speed Pairs at the weekend, with twelve teams battling it out in a new format which really tested everyone's skills, fitness, tactics, and imagination, to the limit.

The winners of the Open Speed Pairs, who took away £300 between them, were Ross Whyte and Fraser Kingan who beat Bruce Mouat and Heather Morton in the final which came right down to the last shot.

The Low Road final was won by Hugh Sloan and John Sloan who beat Chalmers Porteous and Fraser Morton.
