Duncan Stewart remembered at the Four Nations

By all accounts the Four Nations was a great success at Greenacres at the weekend. The results can all be found here, and Kay Adams has already reviewed them in her regular weekend roundup here. It was good to see the Scottish women winning the Connie Miller, although it was the English who were dominant over the six games for the Tom Ballantyne trophy.

Thanks to Hugh Stewart of his pic of the cake in the form of a curling stone, baked by Caroline Cumming of the Glendale Club. It was raffled at the event in memory of Duncan Stewart, the proceeds to go to Marie Curie Cancer Care. (Added later: £261 was raised)

John Brown, secretary of the English Curling Association, has also sent me this morning his spreadsheet of ALL the historical results and stats he has to hand from the home nations international matches of past years. As many of you know, John is a great enthusiast for such records. What fascinating reading they make. It would be great to have these online, John. And perhaps some of the blanks can be filled in. I wonder what the best way is to go about this.

(Added later: John has been in touch to point out that his archive is already online on the Royal Club website here. Thanks John. Can anyone help in filling in the blanks?)
