David Edwards, Kerry Barr, Dillan Perras and Louise Wood defeated Rainer Schoepp's German side in the semifinal of the European Mixed Curling Championship at Greenacres this morning.
The Scots counted a big three in the fifth end to pull ahead 7-3. The Germans got two back in the sixth, and looked as if they might steal in the seventh. But David played a perfect raise with last stone for a single, and the Scots were three up playing the last.
Alan MacDougall's English team went down hard to Switzerland in the other semi.
