Bronze Medals decided at Europeans

Russia played Switzerland in the women's bronze medal game at the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships this morning. Liudmila Privivkova's side gave up a big four at the fifth, and the Swiss were always in the driving seat thereafter. Mirjam Ott, Carmen Schafer, Irene Schori and Carmen Kung (with Janine Greiner alternate in this game) are the bronze medallists.

In the men's competition, Germany's Andy Kapp faced up to Christof Schwaller in front of a large (considering the time of the day) vocal, local Swiss support. Ahead by a shot in the ninth, Schwaller played an angled raise takeout for his two and a three point lead going down the tenth. It was enough.

Christof Schwaller, Marco Ramstein, Robert Hurlimann and Urs Eichhorn are the bronze medallists. Hopp Suisse!
